What is your favorite teaching moment?
As a promoter of life long literacy my favorite moment in teaching is when I know that a student has crossed over from being a reluctant reader to one engaged in developing their own reading life.
Why did you become a teacher?
It has always been part of who I am, and I really do like working with developing minds.
What is your role with the NFRC?
I have been the Treasurer for a long time.
Why do you enjoy being a member of the NFRC?
The comraderee and the desire to learn more. I truly believe in life long learning, and find that I always come away from our meetings energized. Not just because of the presenter, but because of the contact with our members. Why do you enjoy being a member of the NFRC?
Tell us some fun facts about yourself.
I am a wildly proud Grand Papa (See photo) with a second grandchild on the way. I sing in my church's choir, I’ve been the Treasurer in all of the organizations I’ve belonged to since the Boy Scouts (including our parent organization The New York State Reading Association). I like working with my hands and have done a lot of the woodwork in our house.
